What is Undiscovered fm?

Undiscovered fm is a website. Well actually it's more than that. It's an opportunity with a few 'w's in front of it.

Undiscovered fm is the home of 'tomorrow's big names, today'. If you love listening to new music, or you perform it, Undiscovered fm is for you. You'll find artists from all corners of globe performing for you, at the click of a button. Or, maybe you are a singer or in a band, and you want to play for a bigger audience than just your family and the neighbours. It's all completely, utterly, 100% FREE.

Undiscovered fm was born in 2009 and I am its parent, yes me, Peter Bould. Hi.

Why?

Because 'real' music needs a platform if it is to have a strong future. How do I know? I have spent 11 years as a radio presenter all across the North of England. In that time, hundreds of bands and singers have called, texted, emailed and written to me asking how they get their music from their garage, to your head, so that you are humming it while waiting for that person to find their purse at the checkout in Asda.

So how does it work?

Well it's very simple. Bands and singers create a profile with pictures, biogs and their music. Then we listen to them and tell them that they're about to take the world by storm, or that they should return to the checkout in Asda and hope that person has found their purse and can pay them. Undiscovered fm members can add their gigs to the gig guide so users know where to find them. And in between doing all that, artists answer my inquisitive interview questions.

Who uses Undiscovered fm?

Everybody. Undiscovered fm is aimed at 25-45 year olds, but people of all ages are here listening to songs and promoting their own. There are singers and bands from across the UK, the USA, Australia, and almost everywhere in between.

Free?

Yes, absolutely. Undiscovered fm has never charged anyone to promote their songs or to listen to other peoples'. That was never the idea. The idea was to give artists a stage to perform on, and if possible, to unearth a singer or band who goes on to be huuuuge. Artists need to join but that's free. Users can listen to music until their ears bleed without parting with a penny. So come on in.
